Watched a guy finish a driveway with a magnesium float while I was stuck on a wood float, and I get it now
Was working a 30 by 40 pour out in Tucson a couple weeks ago and the guy next to me pulled out a magnesium float while I had my old wood one. I was fighting the bleed water the whole time and he just glided over it, leaving this super smooth finish behind him. By the time I was on my second pass he was already done and sipping a Gatorade. Mine came out looking grainy and I had to hit it again with the steel trowel while he just stood there grinning. The mag float pulled the cream up way faster and kept the surface even without tearing it all up. Anyone else made this switch or am I the only one late to the party on this?
