Saw a guy at a job site in Fort Worth finishing a slab in 95 degree heat with no shade, and it went bad in 20 minutes
I pulled up to a new build off Sycamore School Road to drop off some forms and saw a small crew pouring a 30 by 40 slab with zero shade and no evaporation retarder on hand. The finisher was trying to bull float while the surface was already crusting over, and you could see drag marks setting up behind him. By the time I came back around with my delivery, there were plastic shrinkage cracks running every which way and the whole thing needed a grind. Nobody had a sprayer or curing compound within a hundred feet. Are you all seeing more outfits skip the basics when the schedule gets tight, or is it just the heat bringing out the worst in everyone?
