Took me 5 years to realize I was plugging monitors into the motherboard instead of the GPU

Built my first gaming PC in 2018 and could never figure out why my frames were so bad in games. Last month a guy at Micro Center pointed out my display cable was in the onboard port above the GPU. Anyone else made this mistake or was I the only one that dumb?
