Skeptical at first, but the neighborhood gear library won me over on a tight budget.

Oh man, same here! I borrowed a carpet cleaner from ours and it worked like a charm, saved me a fortune. Felt a little silly not trying it sooner. Then my neighbor needed a pressure washer and I just told her to go sign up. It's that kind of thing that just makes the whole street feel friendlier.

Totally get that. I was the same way about my local tool library at first (like, how good could it really be?). But it's a total lifesaver when you need something for a one time project and just can't justify the cost. It's cool it's not just about saving money, it feels more like sharing with your neighbors than shopping. Honestly being wrong about it was the best part.
