Borrowing a post hole digger changed my whole shed plan
Last month I needed to set 6 fence posts for a small garden shed in my backyard in Dayton. I almost bought a powered auger for $180, but then I checked our neighborhood tool library and they had a manual post hole digger for free. It took me about 2 hours longer than I expected, but the librarian showed me how to rock it side to side to loosen clay. That experience made me realize how many one-time tools I don't actually need to own. Has anyone else found a surprising tool at their library that saved them from a big purchase?
Tool libraries are such a hidden gem, I love that yours hooked you up with a free digger. That two hours of rocking and cursing beats dropping $180 on something you will use once. Glad it opened the door for you to rethink what you actually need to own.
