Shoutout to the guy who told me to just ask for help at the community garden
Last month I was trying to fix a broken trellis in my plot at the Riverside Community Garden. I spent a whole Saturday getting frustrated because the wood kept splitting. This older guy named Frank from the next plot over saw me struggling and just said, 'Kid, you're using the wrong nails.' He showed me how to do it right in about ten minutes. Has anyone else had a simple piece of advice save them from a big headache?

That's the kind of moment that makes me wonder how much time we all waste trying to reinvent the wheel. We get stuck in our own heads, convinced we have to figure it out alone. It happens with cooking, fixing things around the house, even using new software. There's often someone nearby who already knows the simple trick, but we don't want to look dumb by asking. Your Frank story is a perfect example of how a tiny bit of shared knowledge can save so much time and frustration.

Reminds me of the time I spent an hour trying to assemble a bookshelf before my roommate walked in and showed me I was reading the diagram upside down. Felt so dumb but saved the rest of my night.
