Serious question, how did a shared Google Doc fix our block's parking mess after 2 years of arguing?
Honestly, our street in Boise had people fighting over the same 6 spots for almost two years, and meetings just turned into yelling. Last month a neighbor named Dana made one shared Google Doc with every house listed and columns for car count and days people need a spot, and everyone filled it in within a week. Tbh I thought it was too simple to work, but the fights dropped off because now we can all see who actually needs what. Ngl I was against it at first because I thought folks would just lie, but people were mostly fair once it was out in the open. Has anyone else tried something this low tech for a shared parking problem, and did it stick?
