A neighbor's four words made me rethink my whole porch setup
Was out front last Tuesday in Cincinnati watering my plants when the guy two doors down walks by and says 'your steps are crooked.' I laughed it off, but then I stood back and looked, and he was right. The top tread was tilted maybe half an inch from when I layed it two years ago. I never noticed because I use the side entrance every day. That one comment sent me down a rabbit hole of checking every board I'd put in, and turns out my back gate post is sinking too. Now I'm redoing all of it this weekend with a level and some gravel pack. Has anyone else had a random stranger catch a flaw you'd walked past for months?
