Old gauge lied to me for 3 days, should have trusted the math first
Ran into a mixed gas setup off Grand Bahama last month where my oxygen sensor read 18% the whole dive. Trusted it, burned through my planned bottom time, and surfaced with a splitting headache. Turned out the calibration was off by a full 2 points, and the real mix was 16%. Took me three days and a second opinion from a divemaster in Freeport to catch it, so now I double check with a manual calculation before splashing. Anyone else ever had a sensor feed you bad data longer than it should have?
