My wet notes went from soaked to dry after switching to Rite in the Rain paper
I used to use regular spiral notebooks on the barge. One splash and my whole dive log was a mess. Switched to Rite in the Rain paper about 6 months ago. Huge difference. Notes stay readable even after a full dunk in saltwater. I'm based out of Galveston and the humidity kills everything else. Has anyone tried their waterproof pens or just stick with pencil?

Same thing happened to me on the shrimp boats out of Biloxi. Regular paper would just turn to mush after one wave hit. Rite in the Rain is a lifesaver, no question about it. For the pens, I tried their waterproof pen but honestly a regular #2 pencil works just as good and never runs out of ink. Plus you can still write on it when your hands are wet from pulling traps. That paper holds up way better than anything else I've tried. Why mess with something that works?

Shrimp boat paperwork needs to be that tough? Seems like overkill for jotting down catch weights. A regular notebook in a ziplock bag always worked fine for my uncle's charter trips. Just seems like solving a problem that doesn't exist for most folks.
