Parking meters went up outside All-Star Comics, hurting our weekly visits
The city doubled meter rates on Oak Street last week, making it pricey to park for Wednesday new releases. This hits regulars who drop in for pulls and chat. Has your local shop dealt with similar parking issues?

The comic shop I go to in Phoenix has free parking after 6 PM. So the meter rate increase didn't really affect our Wednesday pulls. We just carpool or ride bikes if street parking is full.

Hold on, let me play devil's advocate here. Free parking after 6 PM sounds nice, but what about folks who work late or have other things to do? Carpooling and biking don't work for everyone, like if you live across town or can't ride a bike. The meter hike still hurts people who need daytime parking, maybe for quick trips before comics. And if street parking is always packed, you're just driving around wasting time. So it's not as easy as it seems for all of us.
