Appreciation post: I realized I'd been reading my comics wrong for about 15 years

I was bagging and boarding a new issue and my friend pointed out I was putting the board behind the comic, not in front of it to protect the cover. Anyone else make this simple mistake for way too long?

Wait, are we sure the board is supposed to go in front? I've always put mine behind the comic because the back cover feels thinner and more likely to get bent in the bag. The front cover is already tougher, so the board in back gives the whole thing more even support. Maybe your friend is the one doing it wrong.

The back cover is thinner? I've been collecting for fifteen years and never once checked that. You might have just blown my mind. So you're telling me the whole comic community has been doing it backwards this whole time? Does this mean all my boards are in the wrong spot?
