Appreciation post: coming back to my old LCS after 3 years
Stopped by my local shop last week after moving away for work. Place still has that dusty comic smell. Owner remembered my pull list from 3 years ago, had it in a notebook behind the counter. Picked up a run of Savage Dragon issues I missed. Felt like I never left. Guy even threw in a free bag and board, said welcome back. Anyone else have a shop that feels like home?

Felt like I never left"... I mean, it's a comic book shop, not a time machine. I get the nostalgia thing, but it's kinda funny how much weight people put on a guy remembering what books they bought three years ago. That's just good business sense, man. Every shop owner knows you treat regulars well so they keep coming back. It's not some magical connection. Plus, throwing in a free bag and board is like the bare minimum of customer appreciation. I bet he'd do that for anyone who walked in and spent money. Not trying to be a downer, but it's probably more about the owner wanting your repeat business than some deep personal bond.

Honestly @sanchez.sean that's fair, never really thought about it that way before.
