Spent $130 on a hand grinder after my cheap blade one died, and I keep going back and forth on it
My $25 blade grinder finally quit about two months ago, so I got a hand grinder with steel burrs for around $130. It does give a much more even grind, I will say that much, and my pour overs have been less muddy since I switched. But it takes me close to a minute of cranking for a single cup, and some mornings I honestly miss just pressing a button. Your mileage may vary on whether the taste difference is worth the arm work. Has anyone here gone back to electric after trying a hand grinder, or am I just lazy?
