Saturday market pour over changed my whole routine

Watched a vendor in Portland measure his water by weight instead of volume and it clicked for me. Took two weeks of fiddling with my kitchen scale, but now I won't brew without it. Anyone else swap to weighing their water after seeing someone do it live?

Man, that's a lot of dedication for a cup of joe! I get the appeal, but weighing water feels like turning breakfast into a science lab. I've tried the scale method a few times and honestly, my pour over tastes the same as when I just eyeball it with my old measuring cup. Maybe my palate isn't refined enough, but I'm not about to add another step to my morning before I've had any caffeine.
