Hit 1000 cups on my cheap espresso machine and I'm kind of shocked

I got this little machine as a gift three years ago and just hit the brew count on my kitchen notepad. I figured it would break down after maybe 500, but it's still pulling shots that taste fine to me. Part of me thinks I should upgrade now, but another part says if it works, why fix it? Has anyone else run a basic machine way past what you thought it could handle?

What finally made you decide to upgrade? I had my old machine for like five years. It started making a weird grinding noise and the steam wand barely worked. Even then, I only switched because I found a used one for cheap. If yours still makes coffee you like, just keep using it.

Got a different take honestly. My old machine still made okay coffee but the new one just does it better. The shots taste richer, the milk froths smoother for lattes. Sometimes an upgrade isn't about fixing broken stuff, it's about getting a better morning cup. That little daily win is worth it to me.
