My first Python script deleted my entire 'Documents' folder three years ago

I wrote a loop to organize some photos but forgot to check the file path, so it just wiped everything. What's the dumbest beginner coding mistake you've ever made?

Ever think backups were overkill?

Consider how many people lose old photos and videos forever. That data is more than just files, it's your actual memories. Backups are the only thing keeping those from just disappearing.
