My buddy swore I was wasting time on CSS frameworks, turned out he was right
I spent 3 weeks fighting with Bootstrap to make a simple portfolio site because I thought frameworks were the 'professional' way to code. Then my friend Jake showed me his site built with just flexbox and a few custom classes, and it loaded way faster and looked cleaner. Has anyone else found that starting without a framework actually teaches you more in the long run?

Oh man, the Bootstrap trap is real (I fell for it too). Once you strip it all back and just write your own CSS, you actually understand how things like grids and spacing work instead of blindly adding container-fluid to everything.
