I finally ditched coolant after a shop fire scare in Toledo

Last month at a small job shop in Toledo, I saw a pile of steel shavings catch fire from the coolant mist hitting a tool. The stuff we run is flammable if it concentrates right, and nobody talks about it. I switched to a mist collection system and dry cutting with a stronger feed rate. Anyone else deal with coolant fires or just me?

Right, because nothing says "fun Friday" like your coolant turning into a little firebomb while you're just trying to make a part. I bet the safety guy loved that OSHA write-up. Glad your dry cutting worked out, but now you have to listen to that awful screeching noise all day instead. Real upgrade there.
