Paid $220 for a home energy monitor and now I'm fighting my fridge at 2am
I got one of those smart meters you clip on the breaker panel for $220 because I wanted to find out why my power bill jumped $40 a month. Turns out my 2004 fridge pulls almost 2 kWh a day and the stupid thing cycles on at 2am loud enough to wake me up, so now I just sit there staring at the app like it owes me money. Anyone else found a phantom load that made them mad enough to start a spreadsheet?
