I called heat pumps a scam for years, then my neighbor's January bill humbled me
I literally laughed at my neighbor Dave when he put a heat pump in his place outside of Buffalo two winters back. I figured in that cold it would be a frozen brick and his bill would blow up. Then he showed me his January statement: $148 to heat 1,800 square feet while my gas furnace ran me $260 for a smaller house. I was dead wrong and I have never been happier to eat my words. Anyone up north actually running one through a deep freeze, how is it holding up in year three or four?
