Heads up if you're hunting mugs at the Bellefonte flea market, I watched a vendor pull 3 cracked ones out of a "mint" box
I was at the flea market in Bellefonte last Saturday and this vendor had a booth full of mugs marked as mint condition. I picked up a pretty green one with a hairline crack running down the side, and when I pointed it out he said "that's just glaze craze, it's fine." Then I dug through the box and pulled two more with actual chips on the rim, all priced at $12 each. I get that a chip is the whole point of this club, but don't tell me it's mint and charge me full price when it's a chipped mug like the rest of ours. Has anyone else run into sellers who don't know the difference between a chip and crazing, or is it just my bad luck at that market?
