Two brush brands, same flue, night and day difference
Last Tuesday I was doing a job in Medford and had to swap mid-clean because my usual rotary brush was shredding on the liner. Grabbed a poly brush from my truck, same 8 inch size, and it went through in half the time with way less dust. Ive been using the same brand for 5 years and never thought the bristle stiffness mattered that much. Anyone else find one brush type just works better for older clay liners?
Quit overthinking this one. You swapped brushes and it worked, that happens sometimes. Bristle firmness matters a bit on old clay liners but half the time sounds like a stretch. Maybe the first brush was just worn out or you got a bad batch. Honestly, I've seen guys run the same gear for a decade and never touch anything else. Tbh this reads like you were just having a rough day and the poly brush got lucky.
