TIL the 6 inch brush on my old kit was too big for most liners and I finally get why my wrists hurt
Spent 40 minutes on a standard 8x8 flue last Tuesday and my forearms were toast, so a guy at the supply house in Des Moines asked what size brush I grabbed and I said 6 inch without blinking. He said most residential liners are 6 to 7 inches round or square and a 6 inch brush barely fits, so you fight it the whole way down instead of letting it glide. Switched to a 5 inch on the next one and cut my time in half, anyone else sizing down on purpose?
