Raccoon family took over a chimney I was about to sweep in Nashville
Got called to a house in East Nashville last Tuesday and found a whole nest of raccoons crammed in the flue, momma was not happy at all. Had to call animal control and wait 4 hours while she moved her babies out, then the homeowner asked if I could just clean it anyway since they were already there. Has anyone else dealt with wildlife in a chimney during a job, and do you charge extra for the hazmat cleanup afterwards or just fold it into the base price?

Wait, they wanted you to clean it right after the raccoons finally left?? With all the mess they leave behind? That's wild. Momma raccoon probably left you a nice little surprise up there, I would've charged extra just for having to look at it.
