Just realized my fish tape kink cost me 45 minutes on a job in Cleveland
Was running a brush down a tight flue in an old Cleveland four-square last Tuesday and the fish tape kinked about 8 feet in, so I couldn't get the brush past the second smoke shelf. I ended up pulling the whole thing out, straightening the kink by hand on the porch, and going back in with the rods on the brush instead, which took another 45 minutes but got it done clean. How do you all handle a kink mid-run without dragging everything back out?
