I bought some cheap gel rust remover at a hardware store in Dayton last month just to test it on a stubborn cast iron damper, and it loosened 40 years of crud in about 20 minutes while my brushes had barely scratched it after an hour, so now I'm wondering what else I've been doing the hard way out of habit.
