Splash pad date got rained out so we did hot cocoa in the car for $3
Took my girlfriend to the free splash pad at Riverside Park on Saturday and ten minutes in the sky just opened up on us. We ran to the car soaking wet and I remembered I had two cocoa packets and a thermos of hot water from the morning. We sat there in the parking lot with the rain pounding the roof, splitting one thermos between two cups, and honestly it beat the whole splash pad plan. Total cost was like $3 for the cocoa mix and we still talk about it. What's the best backup plan you keep in your car for date days that go sideways?
