Wasted 80 bucks on a glass top cleaner for my cast iron mistake
So last month I scrubbed my 12 inch Lodge with a chainmail scrubber and it left these weird grey streaks all over the surface. Panicked, I bought this fancy glass cooktop cleaner for like 80 bucks total with the special pads, thinking it would fix the residue. Turns out it was just carbon buildup from cooking at too high heat, and a plain vinegar soak did the job for free. Anyone else dropped money on a fix before realizing the problem was their own seasoning process?
