I bought one off Amazon last spring because everyone raves about them. Thought it would save me from all my burnt on messes. Thing just slid over the crud like a fancy dish sponge. Lost 60 bucks and went back to my regular scrub brush and coarse salt. Has anyone else had a dud tool that the internet hyped up way too much?
Fancy dish sponge" is honestly the perfect way to describe that thing. I fell for the same trap, all those videos of people scraping off burnt cheese like it was nothing, and then I tried it on a slightly sticky pan and it just, like, glided around doing absolutely nothing. My husband walked in on me staring at it in confusion and asked if I was trying to hypnotize the pan. I ended up using it as a weird art piece on my counter for a few weeks just to justify the money, but then I finally threw it in a drawer where it belongs. The internet makes everything look like magic, but sometimes it's just a hunk of metal that costs more than my actual cooking pots.
