That $3,200 commercial job in Phoenix still hasn't paid and it's been 4 months
I laid 1,800 square feet of loop pile in a medical office near the airport back in July. The guy loved the work, said it was the cleanest install he'd seen in years. Now he won't return my calls and the invoice is sitting at 4 months past due. I even offered to knock 10% off if he paid within a week. Has anyone else dealt with a commercial client who just ghosts you after the final walkthrough? What did you do to get paid without burning the relationship?

Wait a second... you offered them a discount after they ghosted you for months? That's backwards, man. Sending a discount to someone who won't even pick up the phone just tells them you're desperate, so why would they ever pay full price now? And honestly, is 4 months really that bad for a commercial gig? I've heard horror stories of guys waiting damn near a year for payment on those big jobs. You might be sweating this more than you need to... maybe just hit them with a lien notice or something instead of sweetening the deal.
