Site supervisors who mark studs with a sharpie on finished drywall

We had a GC walk a new build in Tacoma last week and mark every stud location with a black sharpie right on the painted wall. That ink bleeds through primer and two coats of latex. I get wanting quick reference, but take a photo with your phone instead. Anyone else deal with painters having to sand down marker marks?

Save that sharpie for labeling your lunch bag, cause that marker's not coming off clean without a fight. Tbh if they needed studs marked that bad, they could've taped a damn layout sheet to the floor instead. Now the painter gets to play sand-and-prime bingo before anyone can even talk about color.
