Showerthought: the roof truss I cut 2 inches short in 1998 still bugs me
I was framing a garage up in Flagstaff and rushed a truss cut because the homeowner kept hovering with coffee. It came up 2 inches short so I sistered a block on it and hid the whole thing with drywall, nobody ever knew. These days I mark twice and cut once even when somebody is breathing down my neck. Has anyone else got a fix from back in the day that still makes you cringe when you think about it?
