Level transfer trick for long cabinet runs saved my layout time
Had a 22 foot run of uppers in a kitchen in Denver last month, and my 4 foot level kept throwing me off by an inch by the time I got to the end. Tried the laser, but the walls were too wavy for it to be reliable. Ended up snapping a chalk line at the top of the base cabinets, then using a 6 foot straight edge and a spacer block to transfer that line up exactly 84 inches. Took me maybe 20 minutes to mark everything and it lined up perfect on the first hang. Anyone else do the transfer method instead of fighting a level across long spans?

Read a comment from a cabinet guy on another forum who swears by the same trick, says it beats any level for long runs. Definitely stealing this for my next big install.
