Paid $300 for a resume service, got back a template I could've made free
I figured I'd finally hire a professional to rewrite my resume after months of zero callbacks. Cost me $300 and they basically bolded my old bullet points and changed the fonts. The only real advice was to add numbers, which I could've found in a free blog post. Did anyone else waste money on a career service that didn't actually help? What actually worked for you instead?
