Back in my first job, my boss insisted on handwritten thank-you notes after interviews... now I just send a quick email the same day and it works way better.

Honestly, that old rule probably hurt more candidates than it helped (you know, with bad handwriting or slow mail).

Wait, they made you actually write them out by hand? That sounds like a huge waste of time (and stamps). How did that even work if you needed to get it in the mail fast?
