inQuestion about using a razor comb versus thinning shears on thick hair
Razor combs are a game changer for that super dense hair. They remove bulk without leaving any of those obvious steps you can get with shears. Just feels more like you're working with the hair's natural pattern, you know?

inMy telescope mount gave up right during the Orionid meteor shower peak
Actually, it's usually the gear you ignore that fails. That cheap carabiner you never check, the old rope you meant to replace. Important stuff gets maintained, so it's the forgotten things that bite you.

inVent: My 3D printer kept jamming until I started using a $5 hair dryer.
Used to think you needed fancy gear for that stuff. My buddy swore by a cheap paint stripper gun for warped bed adhesion. Works better than the heated bed on my old machine. Sometimes the simple fix is the one that actually works.

inShoutout to the guy who built a whole backyard shed from old pallets
Old pallets are a solid find. I read a blog once where a guy made a whole fence from them and it held up for years. Free wood is hard to beat.

inTalked to a retired inspector at the supply house and he dropped a truth bomb about aluminum branch circuits
Ray's right about the paste and torque, but he's glossing over the creep issue. Aluminum relaxes over time under pressure, so even a perfect connection can loosen up years later. That's why the listed connectors are so important, they're made to handle that. Ever had to retorque an old AL splice?
