Spent 4 hours fixing a lopsided roof on my box fort yesterday
Built a two story fort for my kid's playdate. Got to the roof and it kept sagging right in the middle. Thought I needed more tape. Nope. Tried cardboard braces underneath. Still sagged. Finally realized I was using mismatched box sizes from different shipping companies. The flaps didn't line up right. Swapped everything to same size Amazon boxes and it held solid in 20 minutes. Anyone else run into weird structural issues that take forever to troubleshoot?

Had this exact same headache building a castle for my nephews last summer. Kept using random boxes from grocery deliveries and the towers would lean like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Finally figured out the problem was mixing heavy duty moving boxes with flimsy thin ones from online orders. The thin ones couldn't hold the weight of the thicker tops. Tore the whole thing down, sorted all the boxes by thickness, and rebuilt it in under an hour. Such a simple fix but it took me two full days to figure out what was wrong.
