Hit fort number 500 yesterday, did not see that coming
I keep a little tally sheet in my garage and after my grandson and I finished a three story castle with a working drawbridge, I counted up and it came to exactly 500 forts since I started building them with my kids back in 1998. The funny part is I never set out to hit any number, it just snuck up on me like how my truck's odometer rolls over to 200,000 miles without me noticing. Most of those early ones were just four walls and a blanket roof, but now we use hinges made of duct tape and cut windows with a utility knife. Does anyone else keep track of how many forts they have built or am I the only one with a weird count going in the corner?
