My old coleman stove outshined my new one three days straight

Took my $200 dual burner propane stove to the Ozarks last week and it sputtered every time I turned it up past medium. Swapped back to my 15 year old coleman single burner my dad gave me and it boiled water in half the time, no issues at all. Anyone else have gear that just works better the older it gets?
