My 100th night in the same tent finally changed my opinion on ultralight gear

I fought ultralight hype for years, figured my 6 pound tent was fine. Then last month I hit night 100 with that same tent and counted out the weight after a 14 mile day in the Sierras. My pack was 41 pounds and my shoulders were screaming. A buddy let me borrow his 2.5 pound trekking pole shelter for a weekend, and the difference on the trail was night and day. Has anyone else crossed a trip count where they finally gave in on gear weight?
