Showerthought: My trick for cleaning viewfinder mirrors without scratches

I mean, I used to worry about scratching them, but a microfiber cloth dampened with lens cleaner works best. Idk, maybe it's just me, but wiping in one direction from the center out keeps it safe.

Tried your method after years of using whatever cloth was nearby, usually my shirt. My old way was a recipe for disaster, honestly. Yeah, glad it worked for you! A buddy of mine totally ruined a lens by using his t-shirt to clean it (which is just asking for trouble). He had these awful streaks that made every photo look foggy, and he almost sent it in for repair. Honestly, I always thought the whole center-out thing was overkill? Tbh, I was a swirl-and-hope kind of person until I tried it on my old camera. Ngl, it actually makes a huge difference.
