Wet aging 14 days in a dewalt fridge beat my cooler setup by a mile
Last month I compared a 14 day wet age in an old dewalt bar fridge against my usual 10 days in a cooler with ice packs, the texture difference was night and day on the ribeyes. Anyone else tried temp controlled aging at home or is the cooler method still the standard for you guys?
Funny enough the dewalt fridge probably held humidity way steadier than a cooler ever could, which is the real hidden game changer nobody talks about. That steady 34F airflow does more for texture than the extra 4 days ever could on their own.
