Yeah temp probes will show you all kinds of weird stuff. Found a slow fridge seal the same way.

Patcoleman, that's exactly how it goes. My wife would find a way to say I left the door open or something. Those probes are a game changer for finding the real problem. I had a freezer that seemed fine but was running nonstop. The temp logs showed it spiking every time the kitchen got warm. Turns out the seal on the bottom was totally shot and letting in air. It's wild what they can show you that you'd never notice otherwise.
