Our inventory system crashed right before Q4 rush
Our inventory tracking software went down last Tuesday morning, right at the start of our busiest shipping quarter. We lost access to 3,000+ SKU records and had no backup synced since the weekend. I had to pull five people off their normal jobs to do manual counts in the warehouse for two straight days. Turns out our IT guy had skipped the latest security patch because he was "too busy." Now I'm looking at a cloud-based system with automatic backups instead of that old server setup. Anyone else here deal with a crash that nearly killed your holiday sales?
