Just realized our warehouse layout is fighting the pick path, not helping it
After 3 days of shadowing our pickers in the Tulsa facility, I saw the data: we're losing 27 minutes per shift just on backtracking, and the flowchart our ops manager swore by doesn't match the actual floor traffic patterns at all, so should we re-map zones based on real movement or just accept the waste?

Dang, I was totally on the "just trust the flowchart" train for years, but watching your numbers about 27 minutes per shift really hit home. Real floor data always beats a pretty diagram someone made in a meeting room. So yeah, re-map those zones based on actual movement, it's way cheaper than paying for 2+ hours of wasted time every week.
