Had a chat with my warehouse lead that changed how I look at inventory
My guy Dave walked up last Friday and said 'we are holding onto too much of the slow movers, it's killing our cash flow'... I always thought keeping extra stock was safe but he showed me the numbers on 3 pallets of stuff that sat for 8 months. Anyone else have a team member point out a blind spot you totally missed?

So how long did it take you to actually act on what he said and clear that stuff out?

@the_jordan You ask about acting on it - honestly, it took me about three days to actually start. He laid it out pretty clear: if you haven't touched something in a year, get rid of it. I spent a whole Saturday going through my garage and spare room. Filled up four trash bags and two boxes for donation. The hardest part was admitting I'd never use half that camping gear I bought during the pandemic. But once I got going, it felt like a weight came off. Now I tell myself the same thing every few months so it doesn't pile back up.
