Took me 3 years to stop using monthly spreads the wrong way
I always set up a full month calendar in my bujo with all my events and deadlines. But I kept feeling like it was a waste of space because I never used it after day 1. Then I saw a video where someone said to only write the current week and just roll tasks forward. I tried it for 2 weeks and suddenly my journal actually helped me plan instead of just looking pretty. Anybody else have a system change that clicked way later than it should have?

Honestly felt this in my bones. I spent a whole year doing massive monthly spreads with washi tape and washi tape and then never writing in them after the second week. What finally clicked for me was just listing three big priorities for the week on a sticky note and sticking it to my daily page. Thats it. No calendar grid, no fancy layout. It was so simple I felt stupid for not trying it sooner. But hey better late than never right?

Wait wait wait. THREE priorities on a sticky note?? As in three things for the whole week? Not even like, a list of 12 random chores? That's wild to me because I'd be panicking about what I'm forgetting. I'd have a whole sticky note stack on my desk by Tuesday with like "buy cat food, call dentist, reply to Karen's email, also don't forget the thing for the thing." I feel like my brain would explode if I tried to boil it down to just three things. But maybe thats the point? Like your brain stops freaking out and actually focuses? Man now I'm weirdly tempted to try this even though it sounds terrifying.
