The "brain dump" page that actually replaced my daily log
I started bullet journaling back in 2017 with the classic Ryder Carroll method, daily log, monthly log, all that. For like 6 months I kept falling off the wagon around March because writing every little task felt like homework. Then I stumbled on a trick from an old forum post about keeping a single "brain dump" collection page for anything that pops into your head during the day, no dates, just a running list with tiny dots. I moved my daily log to just morning planning and evening reflection, and the dump page became my catch-all for random phone numbers, grocery add-ons, and half-baked ideas, which cut my stress way down. Last month I went back through my 2023 journal and realized that dump page held the actual timeline of my life, like the day I jotted "call mom about the leaky faucet" next to "try that new taco place on 5th St." Have any of you tried a separate capture page like this, or do you keep everything in your daily log and just suffer through the clutter?
