That $18 dot grid notebook from the bookstore wrecked me for cheap ones
Back in 2019 I grabbed an $18 dot grid notebook at a shop in Portland because it was the only one with 160 gsm paper on the shelf. The pages held up to my fountain pen with zero bleed, and now every $6 notebook I try feels like writing on a napkin. I keep trying to go back to the cheap ones to save a few bucks, but I end up ripping out pages in frustration after a week. Anyone found a budget dot grid that actually handles wet ink, or am I stuck paying that price forever?
